COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS
WHEN ARE YOU REOPENING FOLLOWING COVID CLOSURES?
Tregroes Caravan, Camping & Glamping Park will reopen to visitors from 13th July 2020.
Should Covid restrictions prevent your stay then Tregroes continues to offer our booking promise. This will enable you to move your booking to a period of upto 12 months or receive a refund if you prefer.
CAN WE STAY IN YOUR GLAMPING ACCOMMODATION UNDER THE CURRENT RESTRICTIONS?
Yes.
All our glamping accommodation is entirely self-contained. This means you have your own adjoining kitchen and bathroom that no other guests use.
They feature everything glamorous guests require. There is also an onsite restaurant offering takeaway -open Mid July.
CAN WE BOOK A CARAVAN OR CAMPING PITCH UNDER THE CURRENT RESTRICTIONS?
Yes.
All communal facilities are now open. However if you have your own facilities we would encourage you to use them.
WHAT MEASURES ARE IN PLACE TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID?
When you visit us we’ve made some changes to make sure you can be confident of staying safely at Tregroes:
- This is a large site with spacious pitches and a lot of open space
- Check-ins will take place remotely where possible
- Hand sanitiser is provided around the park -although we recommended you also carry your own
- Posters are displayed to remind visitors and staff to observe social distancing
- Enhanced cleaning protocols and disinfection in place
- Onsite restaurant will be offering a takeaway service from 21st July 2020.
- Enhanced changeover procedures in place for glamping accommodation
WHAT ACTIONS ARE WE ASKING VISITORS TO TAKE TO REDUCE THE SPREAD OF COVID?
We would expect that visitors accept their social responsibility in helping local communities remain resilient to the impact of COVID-19. We ask you to:
- Adhere to national and local guidance
- Stay home if you develop symptoms and do not travel if you have been contacted by the Test Trace Protect service – https://gov.wales/self-isolation-stay-home-guidance-households-possible-coronavirus
- Always observe social distancing on the park and within the community
- Only meet one other household and stay outdoors
- Wash your hands regularly or use hand sanitizer
- Self-isolate in your accommodation if you or your family develop COVID symptoms
- If you do become unwell, self-isolate, call NHS 111 or go online at 111.nhs.uk and notify the team by telephone
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY IF MY BOOKING IS BEFORE 13TH JULY?
For all direct bookings for visitors with a check in date prior to 13th July, Tregroes continues to offer our booking promise. This will enable you to move your booking to a period of up to 12 months from your existing check in date, subject to availability or receive a refund if you prefer.
If you have booked your holiday via an agent, you will need to make contact with them directly to amend your booking.
You will not be charged for moving dates unless the cost of the new holiday, is priced differently to your original booking.
General FAQ
WHAT TIME CAN I CHECK IN ?
Please note the site is not constantly manned, so if we are not on site when you arrive, please phone us and we will direct you to a pitch. Our number is 07971 328264.
Yurts and pod – check in after 4pm. If you plan to arrive after 6pm, then please let us know an estimated time of arrival – in order that we can arrange to meet you. On occasion, we can offer an early check in – this is subject to availability so please arrange beforehand.
Caravan and camping – Check in is any time after 4pm.
WHAT TIME DO I NEED TO CHECK OUT?
Yurts and pod – check out is 11am. On occasion we can offer a late check out – this is subject to availability so please arrange beforehand.
Caravan and camping – check out is up to 11am. Late check out of 2pm is available for a £10 surcharge.
DO YOU TAKE GROUPS
This is a quite family site. Family groups are welcome, however maximum occupancy figures are in place so you may need to book a number of pitches/ yurts. Please note caravans and tents in separate family occupation must be 6 metres apart.
CAN I BRING MY FRIENDS?
Yes – but please tell us so we know who is on site. If they would like to site a tent then they must occupy a separate pitch and pay at reception.
I WANT TO PLAY MUSIC …. IS THIS OK?
Yes background music is totally acceptable as long as it does not disturb other campers. All noise must be kept to a minimum after 10.30pm and before 8am as a respect to all other campers.
DO YOU HAVE WIFI ?
Yes, there is free Wi-Fi sufficient for browsing. The password will be displayed in reception.
ARE YOU DOG FRIENDLY ?
Yes we allow up to 2 dogs (1 in the pod/cabin/holiday caravan). We ask that they are under your control at all times and that you clean up after them. Dogs must not be left unaccompanied in the rental accommodation. We can recommend doggie day care with the “Dogsbody Hotel" which is based in a family home in Letterston. Please contact them direct on 01348 873737. This is useful if you want to visit the award winning Folly Farm (don’t forget to transfer your Tesco club card vouchers).
CAN WE HAVE A FIRE?
Glamping – Fire pits are provided within each garden. We provide you with a starter pack of wood and kindling with fire lighters which should be sufficient for your first night. You can buy additional logs as and when required from reception.
Caravan and camping – Fires are permitted in purpose designed fire pits. These are available to hire with a supply of logs from reception.
WHERE DO WE DEPOSIT OUR REFUSE?
We aim to reduce, recycle and reuse.
Please sort all of your refuse before placing in the separate receptacles in the recycling compound.
Items that may be of use to other campers can be placed on the “reuse tree” outside reception – you will often find buckets, crabbing nets and even wetsuits.
All large items (including damaged tents) should be disposed of at the municipal refuse site at the bottom of Manorowen Road- just 700 yards away when you turn right at the entrance.
Can we walk to site from the ferry/train station?
The ferry and train station is about 2 miles from the site and although a pleasant walk along the cycle path – it maybe not want you need when you first arrive! A taxi is available but must be booked in advance as they are only a few available and they can be busy at peak times.

Follow the sign to reception. The site is not constantly manned, but we will not be far away so if we are not about please phone us on 07971 328264.
IS THERE ANYWHERE TO EAT NEAR BY?
NEW FOR 2020 – we have a licensed restaurant on site – Tregroes Pantry – which offers breakfasts, packed lunches and evening meals. Teh restaurant will be offering takeaways whilst the covid restrictions are in place. In Fishguard and Goodwick there is also a number of cafes, pubs and restaurants. The nearest pub is about a 20 minute walk away (maybe a bit longer after a pint!).
There are 2 supermarkets and local shops in Goodwick and Fishguard.
We also provide a list of takeaway numbers – some of which deliver.
I NEED A TAXI … WHO CAN YOU RECOMMEND ?
There are 2 or 3 taxi services in Fishguard – the cost from Fishguard to the site is around £5.00. They can also provide luggage transfers for walkers and cyclists.

YURTS/POD/CABIN
CAN I DRIVE AND PARK NEXT TO MY ACCOMMODATION ?
Yes you can drive right up to all our accommodation and there is parking for at least 1 car.
DO THE YURTS/POD/CABIN HAVE A TOILET IN THEM ?
All of the glamping accommodation is entirely self contained. This means you have you have your own adjoining kitchen and bathroom that no other guests use.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN I FIT IN A YURT ?
The maximum people we allow in a yurt is 6 – with a maximum of 4 adults. The booking price is for 2 persons so there will be a £10 surcharge per night for the extra persons.
Unfortunately if you are a group of more than 4 adults you would need to take 2 yurts.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN I FIT IN A POD?
The pod has a double bed, a single bed and a small trundle bed which is only suitable for infants. We therefore recommend a maximum occupancy of 3. It suits a family with small children, couples, or 3 close friends!
ARE THE YURTS WARM ?
Yes….the yurts are well insulated so you can camp all year round in warmth and comfort. However in colder periods each yurt has a wood burning stove which heats the yurt in 20 minutes, the only time you may feel cold is when you wake up in the morning. Please note that the stove gets very hot. Children (and adults) will need to exercise caution when the wood burner is on. Please ask for a fire guard if you have small children.
The cabin and pod are provided with electric radiators.
IS THERE ANYTHING TO COOK ON IN THE YURT/POD/CABIN?
Yes, there is an adjoining cabin kitchen for your exclusive use which has a camping gas stove and microwave . It is fully equipped with everything you will need for your stay. You can also cook on top of the fire pit and a camp fire cook book is provided to give you ideas! You may also wish to bring a BBQ with you.
DO I NEED TO BRING BEDDING AND TOWELS?
Please bring towels.
All bedding is provided and your beds will be made up for your arrival.
